Josephine Murray (Josie) Anderson

Obituary: Josephine "Josie" Murray Anderson, 82, of Kannapolis passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019. She was born October 9, 1936 in Jacksonville, Florida, a daughter of the late Paul and Ada Murray. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Donald Ray Anderson, Sr., son, Donald Ray "Butch" Anderson Jr. and daughter, Robin Anderson White. Josie was married to the late Rev. Donald Anderson for 36 years where she was a true and dedicated pastor's wife supporting him in his ministry at Kannapolis Church of God and the Church of God Children's Home in Kannapolis. Josie loved and cherished spending time with her family, especially her grand and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Kannapolis Church of God officiated by Dr. Greg Sloop and Rev. Dan Carter. Her family will receive friends prior from 5 to 7 at the church. Private burial will take place at Carolina Memorial Park. Josie is survived by son, Danny Anderson (Donna), daughter, Felicia Anderson, sister, Geraldine Murray Folino, four grandchildren, Michael Whitaker, Blair Wagner (Allen), Robin Baucom (Brett), Evan Anderson and three great-grandchildren, Colt Wagner, Alanna Wagner, Reese Baucom.
