Josephine Link Stockton, 100, of Kannapolis, passed away, Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Five Oaks Manor.
She was born August 30, 1920 in Cabarrus Co. to the late Walter Link and Maude Lane Link.
Josephine worked for Cannon Mills for many years. She taught Sunday School for 70 years, her faith and love in God was unstoppable thru out her life, she sang in the church choir and also played the piano. She helped raise three generations of children, as a very loving and hands on, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She didn't know a stranger and will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband William H. Stockton, and her son Timothy Edwin Stockton.
Those left to cherish her memory, granddaughter, Monica Thomas (Dale) of Kannapolis, three great grandchildren, Zachary Robinson of Abilene, TX, Emily Pendergrass (Zachary) of Kinston, NC, Grace Robinson of Kannapolis, one great-great granddaughter, Baker Jo Pendergrass born August 8, 2021.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, August 13, at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Stan Welch officiating, burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
Visitation will be prior to the service from 10 to 11 am Friday at Whitley's Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative of Cabarrus Co. 5003 Hospice Ln. Kannapolis, NC 28081.
