Obituary: Josephine Roten Wagner, 89, of Kannapolis, NC died at CMC-NorthEast in Concord, NC on September 25, 2015. Death was unexpected. Mrs. Wagner was born on April 24, 1926 in Wilkes Co., NC the daughter of the late Joel Roten and the late Bessie Eller Roten. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers; Emery, Elmer, Calvin, Ancil, Willard, and Barney Roten. Josephine was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church in Kannapolis. She retired in 1985 after 43 years from Fieldcrest Cannon where she worked in the #7 Weave Room. She worked for many years at the K. & W. Cafeteria and also for Hardee's. Survivors include her daughter, JoAnn Jones of the Kannapolis and a brother, Henry Roten (Delores) of Kannapolis and two sisters; Ellen Turner and Alice Whitley both of North Wilkesboro, NC. The service for Mrs. Wagner will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Sep. 28th at Lakewood Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Scott Leigh. Burial will take place at Carolina Memorial Park.
