Obituary: Joshua "Josh" Dale Owens, 42, of Kannapolis, passed away, Thursday, February 1, 2018 at his home. He was born October 11, 1975 in Cabarrus Co. to William "Sonny" Owens and Annie "Sissy" Owens. Josh enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles. He loved his family, and he will be dearly missed by all his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, David and Nellie Parker and Virginia Gainey. Those left to cherish his memory are, his wife Gale Owens, parents, William "Sonny" Owens and Annie "Sissy" Owens, sister, Stacey Freeman (Donald), three nephews, Eran Hays, Cade Freeman, Nick Freeman, two step sons, Christopher Barringer, Wayne Barringer, and one step grandson, Joshua Barringer. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 7, at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Elizabeth Fisher officiating.
