Obituary: Joyce Cauble Almon, 68, of Kannapolis passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Five Oaks Nursing Center. She was born September 2, 1942 in Cabarrus County, the daughter of the late Sidney and Essie Allman Cauble. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harley "Jimmy" Almon Jr. in 1997.She retired from Cannon Mills Co Plant 1 where she worked in the sewing room.She was a former member of Bethpage Presbyterian Church and presently a member of Victory Temple. She was an avid gardener.Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Gary Posey. Burial will follow at Bethpage Presbyterian Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday at Whitley's Funeral Home. She is survived by her son Chuckie Almon (Donna) of Kannapolis , her daughter Kim Almon Wolfe (Jon) of Mooresville, 3 grandchildren: Caleb Almon, Brandon Prevatte and Sydney Wolfe, a great grandchild Landyn Crook and her brother Boyd Cauble of Charlotte.
