Obituary: Joyce Hallman Eddings, age 62, died Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House, Huntersville, NC after nine months of serious illness.She was born January 25, 1949 in Cabarrus County, NC, the daughter of the late Lloyd Thomas Hallman and Rosanna Spencer Hallman. Joyce was a 1967 graduate of A.L. Brown High School.In earlier years she was employed with Harris-Teeter, Inc., Concord, NC for many years. Later, she worked at First Charter Bank for 17 years. Then, after the merger with Fifth Third Bank, she worked an additional 7 years. Joyce was a member of First Wesleyan Church, Kannapolis, NC. She enjoyed hunting and fishing with her husband for close to 35 years of marriage.The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at First Wesleyan Church, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. James Matchette. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, August 8, 2011 at Whitley's Funeral Home.Survivors include her husband, E. Hayes Eddings; a son, Charles Michael Lloyd & wife, Lisa of Gordonsville, VA; a daughter, Pamela Lloyd Goforth & husband, Charles of Kannapolis, NC; two sisters, June Bostic & husband, Jerry of Concord, NC and Marlene McGuire & husband, Gene of Kannapolis, NC; five grandchildren, Emily Goforth, Amanda Goforth, C.J.
