Obituary: Joyce Ann Nance Hearne of Gold Hill died Saturday October 6, 2012 at CMC-NE in Concord after a period of declining health. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 11 at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel with Rev. Brian Dotson officiating. Burial will follow at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens in Concord. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, October 10 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Building. Joyce was a long-time area resident, retired from nursing. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed riding motorcycles, drawing and cooking. She was a loved wife, mother, grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. Joyce is survived by her husband of 52 years, Larry Thomas Hearne, Sr., her daughter, Susan McLaurin and husband,Billy of Gold Hill, her son, Tim Hearne and wife, Melinda of Killeen TX, her grandchildren include Kristen Berry, Aaron McLaurin, Taylor Hearne, Victoria Hearne and Nicole and Drew Wedgeworth. Great-grandchildren include Dallas Boyd, Cayden Berry and Joel Berry. She is also survived by Jeanette Hyde and Gail Cauble.
