Obituary: Joyce Marie Honeycutt, age 73, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at CMC-NorthEast, Concord, NC after a lengthy illness. She was born September 27, 1940 in Cabarrus County, NC, the daughter of the late Glen William Beach and Inez Lucille Kluttz Beach. Joyce was employed as a preboarder at various local hosiery mills over the years until her retirement in 1989. She was an active member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, Concord, NC. She is fondly remembered by family for her love of fishing at places all over. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a sister, Shirley B. Haigler and a brother, Norman Lee Beach. The funeral service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Pine Grove Baptist Church, Concord, NC officiated by Rev. Ray Rivenbark and Rev. Don Lisk. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 4:00 P.M. Sunday at the church prior to the service. Survivors include her husband of 15 years, Merrill W. Honeycutt; her children, Ronny Price of Kannapolis, NC; Kathy Walker of Stanfield, NC; Vicky Crowley of Concord, NC; and Terry Price of Kannapolis, NC; one sister, Vera Ruth Parker of Concord, NC; eleven grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church, 100 Pine Grove Church Road, Concord, NC 28025.
