Joyce Pittman Huneycutt

Obituary: Joyce Virginia Pittman Huneycutt, 74, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis. Joyce was born July 7. 1943 in Chester County, SC a daughter of the late Minor and Rosabelle Wilson Pittman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ellis Huneycutt on August 9, 2017, two sons, Charles David Mann, Jr., Donald Charles Huneycutt, a daughter, Sharon O'Neal and two brothers, Gerald and Bobby Pittman. Joyce was of the Baptist Faith. She owned and operated Gennie's Hair Studio for many years. She was a licensed beautician for 46 years. Joyce enjoyed gardening, raising flowers and sewing. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Gene Edwards. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. prior to the service. At other times they will be at the residence. Family members left to cherish her memory are two daughters; Amy O'Daniel and husband Jamie of Kannapolis and Kimberly Clutts and husband David of Enochville, son-in-law, Steve O'Neal of Enochville,2 brothers, Ralph Pittman and wife Judy and Kenny Pittman, both of Kannapolis, five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
