Joyce Lyerly Hunter

Obituary: Joyce Lyerly Hunter, 78, of Kannapolis passed away on October 29, 2012. She was born June 22, 1934 in Rowan County, the daughter of the late Leon B. Lyerly and Mary Fries Lyerly. She was an avid sports fan, especially college basketball and an avid reader. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Wes Judy. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 prior at Whitley's. She is survived by her son, Michael G. London of Salisbury, two daughters, Patricia London of Concord and Tracy Driver (William) of China Grove, 5 grandchildren; Jonathan Shuping (Haley), Drew Shuping (Abby), Lauren Flack (Chad), Nathan Driver and Noah Driver, two great-grandchildren; Lawson and Havilland Shuping, two sisters; Ginger Webster (Ralph) and Kaye Lyerly.
