Joyce Fryer Livengood

Obituary: Joyce Fryer Livengood, 69, passed away Thursday, December 06, 2012 at her residence. Joyce was born February 9, 1943 in Cabarrus County to the late Walter Fryer and Mrs. Mary Stiff Tennentt who survives. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her mother, she is also survived by her husband of 28 years, Gene Livengood of the home; three children, Cassie Seamen of Spencer, Gwendolyn Brackett of Salisbury, and Gary Hyman (Renee) of Cleveland, NC; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; one brother, Michael Fryer; and three sisters, Mary Ross, Lisa Fryer, and Janet Stamper. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 10, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ronald Young officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:30 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. prior to the service at Whitley's. Whitley's Funeral Home is serving the Livengood family.
