Joyce Lewis Sexton

Obituary: Joyce Lewis Sexton, 74, of Kannapolis died Friday, September 24, 2010 at Tucker Hospice House following a period of declining health. She was born June 7, 1936 in Cabarrus County, NC a daughter of the late Sam and Beulah May Lewis. She was a member of Sloan Lake Community Church. She was a homemaker and was dedicated to her husband, children and grandchildren. Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon Monday, September 27, 2010 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel conducted by Rev. Zachary Sizemore. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to final rites. Interment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park. At other times the family will be at the residence. Joyce is survived by her husband of 54 years: Jack. L. Sexton of the Home, two sons: Scott Sexton of Charlotte and Shane Sexton and wife Rebecca of China Grove and grandchildren Hannah and Grace. Two Brothers: Paul Lewis of Salt Lake City, Ut., and Sammy Lewis of China Grove, a Sister: Louise Threatt of Landis and numerous nieces and nephews.
