Joyce Collins Walter

Joyce Collins Walter, 82 years old, of Concord, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 27, 2024.  Joyce was born on February 25, 1942, in Cabarrus County to the late David and Thelma Irvin Collins.

Joyce was a longtime employee of the Cabarrus County School District, starting her career off as a teacher’s aid and retiring as an administrative assistant.  Joyce also loved to knit and read in her spare time.

Joyce was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Pinky Walter in 2023.  Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Carter Walter and her extended family, Mary Eash and her husband Dustin and their children Cora and Caroline.

A graveside service will be held on 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Gilwood Presbyterian Church Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Charles (Chaz) Blasdell.  The family will receive friends after the service.
