Juanelle Strickland Owens

Obituary: Juanelle Strickland Owens, 91, of Spencer went home to be with her Lord and Savior, October 13, 2015 after an extended illness. She was born July 9, 1924 in Madison County, Georgia to the late Tyke Strickland and the late Cassie Bullock Strickland. She had worked as a weaver at Cannon Mills and was a member of Grace Avenue Baptist Church. Juanelle was preceded in death by her parents: her husband H.T. Owen in 1996, their son Mark Richard Owens in 2011 and four siblings. She is survived by her grandson Jonathan Owens and wife Andrea and their son Nolan Marcus Owens of China Grove; daughter in-law Nadine Owens of Rockwell. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, October 16, 2015 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel with Pastor Brian Rabon officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 P.M. prior to the service.
