Juanita (Barbee) Carpenter

Juanita B. Carpenter, 80, of Albemarle, NC was called to her heavenly home on Sunday morning August 29th, 2021.  Born September 17th, 1940, she was the daughter of Atlas and Bessie Barbee of Locust, NC.  In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were her husbands’ Ray Thomas and Jerry Carpenter, her brothers Wilson, Aaron, and Dwain Barbee, and grandson Kevin Thomas.

Juanita spent the majority of her life working in retail at Griffins 88 in Locust, NC.

Juanita is survived by her children, daughter, Donna Stump and husband Dan, and son, Dwain Thomas and wife Eva Gean, grandson Joshua Thomas and wife Britney, plus three great-grandchildren, Landon, Addie, and Paxton Thomas, and special friend who was like a son, James Potts.

Visitation for Mrs. Carpenter will be from 11:30 to 12:00 with services following at 12:00 Wednesday September 1ST at Bethel Baptist Church in Locust, NC, conducted by Reverend Brian Bolding.  Committal service will follow at the church cemetery.

Also, the family would like to thank Allison, Carrie, and Brandy of Community Homecare and Hospice of Troy, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Ground 40, 303 Dale Street, Monroe, NC  28112, an organization very near and dear to our hearts, or a charity of your choice.
