Juanita Brown Martin

Obituary: Juanita Brown Martin, 85, died Friday, August 15, 2014 at Universal Health Care in Concord. Mrs. Martin was born June 17, 1929 in Alamance County to the late Paul Lee Brown and Ola Stafford Brown. Juanita was a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church; worked for 42 years in Cannon Mills as an X-ray tech and as a Supply Room Specialist. She was also a member of the XYZ Club "Extra Years of Zest." Survivors include her sons, Sterlin Brown Martin (Lorraine) of Concord, NC, and William Lee Martin (Patty) of Mooresville, NC; three grandchildren, Tony Stewart, Carmen Carter, Candra Vavallejo; a brother, Brenard Brown of Newton, NC; two sisters, Athena Brown and Margaret Martin both of Concord, NC. A funeral service will be 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with the New Hope Church Pastoral Staff officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
