Juanita Mullis

Obituary: Juanita Catherine Mullis of Chapel Hill, formerly of Kannapolis, born August 27, 1927 in Kannapolis NC entered her Heavenly home 4:30pm Tuesday, October 10, 2017. She was employed by Fieldcrest Cannon where she worked in the wash cloth dept. sewing for 46yrs. She was a member of Landis Baptist Church during the earlier years of her life and then began attending Central Baptist Church where she was a current member. Juanita was the daughter of the late Ollie Irene Mull and is proceeded in death by her husband of 27yrs. James 'Duck' Mullis and her son Douglas Michael 'Mike' Clark formerly of Kannapolis. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Gail Clark Asay of Chapel Hill, daughter in law, Nancy Clark of Kannapolis, Stepsons: Cameron 'Cam' Mullis and wife Beverly 'Bev" of Jacksonville, Florida, Stanley 'Stan' Mullis of San Leon, Texas, and Scott Mullis and wife Kellie of Kannapolis. In addition to her children, She had 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Mrs. Mullis was a lovely hard working lady with a unique sense of humor and a determination to accomplish anything she set her heart on. She enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking for her family and watching hallmark and mystery movies. Her family will deeply miss her! Her life celebration will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday October 14, 2017 at Homestead Baptist Church of Kannapolis conducted by Pastor Curtis Parker and Rev. Mitch Thomas. The visitation will be held 1:00 P.M.- 2:00 P.M. at the church prior to the service.
