Judy Bailey

Obituary: Judy Bailey, 74, of China Grove went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Tucker Hospice House surrounded by friends and family. She was born November 21, 1939 in Rowan County a daughter of the late William Havannah (Penny) Brown and Gladys Williams (Peggy) Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Toni Ann Brown, god grandchild Calista Love, and Claire Atkins great niece. Judy attended First United Methodist Church of Landis and was a former member of West A Church of God. She was a prayer warrior and dearly loved her family and friends. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by one daughter, Tina Leben (Ryan) of China Grove, special daughter Tammy Weaver (Jeff) of Kannapolis, one brother Butch Brown (Doris) of Spruce Pine, one sister Becky Sherrill of Raleigh, special sister Marie Anderson and family of Kannapolis, four grandchildren; Tammy Barrier (Steve) of Kannapolis, William Daniel "Bubba" Renken (Jamie) of China Grove, Anna Leben of China Grove and Rusty Moore of China Grove. She is also survived by six great grandchildren; Michael Childers (Macy) of China Grove, Austin Childers of Kannapolis, Colby and Caden Renken of China Grove, and Brylan and Colton Barrier of Kannapolis, and two great-great grandchildren; Branson and Brody Childers of China Grove. She is also survived by beloved nieces; Angela, Sandra, Emily, and Patty and their spouses and children. Visitation will be 3:00-4:00 P.M. Thursday, January 9, 2014 at West A Church of God in Kannapolis. Funeral services will be at 4:00 P.M. Thursday following the visitation. Private burial will be at a later date at Kannapolis City Cemetery. At other times, the family will be at the residence of the daughter, Tina Leben of China Grove.
