Obituary: Judy E. Petry, 69 of Harrisburg, NC passed into Eternal Life on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis following an illness of six weeks. Judy was born August 2, 1948 in Charlotte, NC a daughter of the late John Wilton Edwards and Melva Rae Richardson. Judy was a career purchasing and production analyst retiring from IBM. She loved her animals, Kobi and Zoie, along with all that Nature had to offer She enjoyed doing many different types of crafts and she shared them with her friends. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 27, 2017 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Pastor Raymond Johns, Catawba Heights Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. Monday. Entombment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis. Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Donald Petry, daughter, Lawanda (Mark) Linker, son, Chris Petry, grandchildren; Tyler Linker, Jacob Linker, Amanda (Brandon) Phillips, great-grandchild, Emersyn Phillips. Also surviving are sisters; Susie Pacheo and Tammy (Jeff) Parker, brothers; Larry (Joanna) Edwards, Ray (Cindy) Edwards and Ritchie Richardson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
