Judy Potts

Obituary: Mrs. Judy Carol Potts, 67, of Concord went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at her residence following a period of declining health. Judy was born August 24, 1947 in Cabarrus County, NC a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Marceline Dae Troxell Hathcock. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Arthur Potts, daughter, Melissa Marie Potts and a sister, Glenda Sue Hathcock. During her lifetime Judy had worked in reception at the cardiac center in Garden City Hospital in Michigan and later at Chad's Coin Laundry in Garden City, Michigan following her retirement. She loved to bowl, gamble, dance and go to the lake with her friends whom she dearly loved. She moved back to North Carolina to be close to her family. She was of the Christian faith. Per her request she was cremated. Survivors include her son, Phillip Adams and wife Sherry of Front Royal, Va., daughter, Tangela Hwang of Concord, sisters, Pat Sechler and Sandra Dixon both of Salisbury, grandchildren; Melissa, Myra Beth, and Bradley Adams all of Front Royal, Va., Jacqueline and husband Paul of New Haven, Conn., Brenna and husband Steven, Beau, and Jacob of Concord. Also surviving are great grandchildren Gavin and Lola of Concord and Selah of New Haven, Conn. Whitley's Funeral Home is serving the family of Mrs. Potts.
