Judy Kay (Furr) Smith

Judy Kay Furr Smith, 77, of Kannapolis, went to be with her heavenly Father on Monday, July 29, 2024.

Judy was born on July 12, 1947 in Cabarrus County. She was a cherished daughter of the late Dewey Furr and Oma Mullis Furr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Cathy Allison and Marcelene Fschenbacher; and brother, Jerry Wilson Furr.

Judy poured her heart into creating a warm home and enjoyed every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. Her joy came from cooking for her family and ensuring their happiness, often putting their needs before her own. Her generosity and selflessness were evident in everything she did. Judy will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Jerry Alton Smith; daughter, April Stoner and her husband, Jamey; son, Rodney Smith; grandchildren, Jesse Stoner, Jake Stoner, Alayna Stoner, and Owen Smith; and sister, Dale Dugan.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
