Judy Evelyn (Lancaster) Talbert

Judy Evelyn Lancaster Talbert, 82, of Concord, died at her home on September 8, 2022 after a period of declining health.

Her family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 PM Monday, September 12 at Whitley’s Funeral Home; following with a graveside service at Carolina Memorial Park at 2:00 PM.

Born April 8, 1940 in Cabarrus Co., Judy was a daughter of the late William H. and Margaret Brock Lancaster. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Talbert in 2011, her sister, Vickie Martin and her brother, Larry Lancaster; who just passed away on September 3rd.

Judy was a lifelong area resident and graduate of Concord High School. In earlier years, she owned Stems and Petals Florist. Later Judy worked for Pots of Luck Florist and The Medicine Shop in Concord. Judy was a talented seamstress and enjoyed crafting, crocheting and working puzzles. She was proud to have earned her pilot’s license. Judy was a loving mother and grandmother and sister. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her daughter Kelli Lisk of Concord, her son Johnnie Marlin, her grandchildren, April Lisk and Dustin Lisk (Jennifer), her great-grandchild Drew Lisk. Also surviving are Judy’s sisters; Shirley Hathcock and Brenda Lewis (Rick) and her brother, Alan Lancaster (Kathy)
