Obituary: Mrs. Judy Diane Farrell Whittington, 60, of Salisbury died Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at her residence. She was born December 9, 1950 in Iredell County, a daughter of the late Samuel and Ruby Burrell Farrell. In earlier life she was employed as a C.N.A. and later as a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith.She is survived by her husband, Blain W. Whittington, Jr. of the home, two sons, James Farrell of Oxford and Jeffery G. Roland of Durham, a daughter, Tammy Lynn Roland-Allen of Durham, two grandchildren, three sisters and two brothers, and nieces and nephews also survive.Private services will be held at a later date by the family.Whitley Funeral Home is serving the family of Mrs. Whittington.
