Obituary: Julian Walter Altman, 69, died Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Carolina's Specialty Hospital. Mr. Altman was born July 17, 1944 in Ware County Ga. to the late Edgar Walter Altman and Elizabeth Thomas Altman. He retired after many years of service from Terminal Trucking and he was an avid golfer being a member of GARS Association. Survivors include his sons, Mark Altman (Jennifer) of Charleston, SC and Ricky Altman (Jamie) of Danville, VA; four grandchildren, Stacy Griffin, Bradley Brafford, Kimber Allison Altman, and Kaitlynn Nicole Eck; brother, Thomas "Red" Altman (Linda); two nephews, David and Tommy Altman; special friends, Nancy Beck, Shawn Beck(Gelee), Kim Lee (Wesley), Weston Lee, and Josh Lee. The family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Whitley's Funeral Home. Burial will be private at a later date. Whitley's Funeral Home is serving the Altman family.
