Julie Ann Bostian Corriher, 55, of China Grove entered the Church Triumphant on Feb. 6, 2022.
Born Dec. 8, 1966, she was a native of Kannapolis and graduated from A.L. Brown High School in 1985. She was the adored daughter of Shelby Bostian of Kannapolis and the late Jack Bostian. She was a daddy's girl.
In 2014, she met Jason Corriher through mutual friends. After their first date, they were rarely apart, and got married March 24, 2018. From day one, Julie treated his son, Xander, as if he were her own. She took Xander to church and family events, and 100 percent supported his call to enter ministry.
Julie also encouraged Jason to return to church. The three attended West A Tabernacle Baptist Church as a family. Even though Jason had been baptized as a child, she encouraged him to be baptized by immersion, as is their church's tradition. The sanctuary burned in 2013, but it is being rebuilt, and Jason looks forward to being the first person to be baptized in that new space. Julie was the administrative assistant for U.S. Renal Care in Charlotte. She was the glue that held the office together, and loved by staff and patients alike - even the "most challenging" patients. Since her death, co-workers have placed flowers on her desk, and many have just come to sit quietly in her chair for a few minutes.
Other survivors include her daughter, Jessica Jones, and her son, Hayden Jones; her brother Donnie (Angie) and their children, Matt and Kayla; her stepmother, Claudine Bostian; her mother-in-law, Sally Corriher; her brothers-in-law, Mark (Stacy) and their children, Amanda Corriher, Matthew Corriher, Michaela Lemons, Alex Corriher, and Madison Noles; and Adam (Stewart Clement) and their sons, Thomas and Henry, her step-brothers, Randy Sloop, Sr. (Lynn) and Stanley Sloop (Brenda), both of China Grove and her step-sister, Stephanie Holshouser (Kevin) of Rockwell.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, February 18 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rodney Efird and Xander Corriher officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, Feb. 17 at Whitley's Funeral Home. Burial will be at West Lawn Memorial Park.

Julie was a bright light in an increasingly dark world, and she was an inspiration to us all. We choose the light. We choose to remember not how she died, but how she lived.
