June (Crews) Butts

June Crews Butts, 92, of Concord, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, November 25, 2022 from Tucker Hospice House after a period of declining health.

A funeral service to celebrate June's life will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 29 at Parkwood Baptist Church in Concord, with Rev. Michael Waters and Rev. Darrell Coble officiating. Her family will receive friends at Parkwood Baptist Church from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the funeral. A private entombment will follow at Rowan Memorial Park in Salisbury.

June was born August 2, 1930 in Washington Co. VA, a daughter of the late Carl W. and Dola Mae Wyatt Crews. In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her 3 brothers; Carl W. Crews, Jr., Vance L. Crews and Terry S. Crews.  Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Ewell Ferguson; her daughter, Vicki Kluttz and her husband Wesley; her sister, Lorraine "Betsye" Archer and several nieces and nephews.

June was a longtime area resident and member of Parkwood Baptist Church. In earlier years, June worked for Fiber Industries and Mann Bussing in Salisbury. She has been working as a custodian for Parkwood Baptist Church for 26 years until she retired. June loved birdwatching, doing puzzles, reading and taking trips to the beach. June was known for her hugs and her smile. She was a loving and devoted mother and sister and will be dearly missed.
