June Dellinger

Obituary: June Carol Dellinger, 56, of Kannapolis died Sunday, December 30, 2012 at CMC-Northeast Medical Center following a period of declining health. She was born June 1, 1956 in Cabarrus County, NC a daughter of Phillip Glenn Dellinger and Christine Teal Dellinger both of Kannapolis. June was a 1974 graduate of A.L. Brown High School and later graduated from Rowan Cabarrus Community College with a degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse. In early life she worked at Cannon Mill and later CK Federal Bank. After acquiring her degree she was employed at Northeast Medical Center and later W.G. "Bill" Hefner VA Medical Center. She loved to read, garden, travel to the mountains and beach and spend time with her family. Her family was always first in her heart. She was always a faithful Christian. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 2, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Raymond Davis.Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-1:00 prior to the funeral. At other times they will be at the residence of a sister, Philda Bostic 117 Dundee Drive, Kannapolis. Survivors in addition to her parents include one son, Christopher Kidd of Kannapolis, daughter, Traci Webb of Concord, four sisters, Philda (Jack) Bostic of Kannapolis, Amy(Tim) Lind of Rock Hill, Tammy Irvin of Concord, and Leslie (Keith) Fink of Kannapolis. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association, Mid-Atlantic Affiliate, 4217 Park Place Court, American Heart Association Building, Glen Allen, Va. 23060, or to the American Lung Association, 514 Daniels St. #109, Raleigh, NC, 27605 or to the Susan B.
