Karen W. Crainshaw

Obituary: Karen W. Crainshaw 57, of Kannapolis, N.C. went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 after a brief illness. She was born December 9, 1960 in Stanly County to Liston Odell Whitley and Shelvie Jean Shepherd Whitley. Karen was a loving person who enjoyed being with her family and sharing her stories about them with others. She was proud of her children and grandchildren. She loved to bake and spend time in the kitchen making things for family and friends especially around Christmas. Karen enjoyed shopping and spending time at the beach and playing with her pets Luckee and Zada. Preceding Karen in death were her parents, her brother Roger Whitley and her sister Teresa Ridenhour. Family members that remain to cherish her memories are her husband, Thomas " Pete " Crainshaw of the home, two daughters Kimberly Blalock and husband Charles, Ashley Crainshaw, two grandchildren Noah and Wesley Blalock all of Kannapolis, N.C., her sissie Patsy M. McCreary of China Grove, N.C., and two nephews David and James Martinez of Kannapolis, N.C. A Celebration OF Life Service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Keith Kannenberg officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. prior to the service.
