Kathy Diane Christy Harrington

Obituary: Kathy Dianne Christy Harrington, 56 of Concord died Friday, January 1, 2016 at CMC-NE after a period of declining health. Kathy was born December 24, 1959 in Fairfax VA, a daughter of the late Zeb and Virginia Robinson Christy. A long-time area resident, she was a member of the Universal House of Prayer in Concord. Kathy worked as a caregiver with Home Health Care of Cabarrus Co. for 15 years. She loved flower gardening and taking care of her family and grandchildren. She will be missed. His funeral will be at 1:00 PM Sunday at Whitley's Annex Chapel with his brother-in-law, Rev. Randy Lefler officiating. Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery. His family will receive friends at Whitley's Annex Chapel from 12:00 to 1:00 PM prior. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Jerry O'Neil Harrington of the family home, 2 daughters; Nicole Smith and Amanda Ocana, both of Concord and her son Jerry Lee Harrington of the Home, her sister, Donnie Lefler of Concord and 2 brothers, Zeb Christy, Jr. of Kannapolis and Billy Christy of Concord and also 5 grandchildren.
