Kathy Sue (Thomas) Ross

Kathy Sue Thomas Ross, 72 years old, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 23, 2023, surrounded by her family.  Kathy was born June 24, 1951, in Cabarrus County, NC to the late Richard and Mary Evelyn Woods Thomas.

Kathy was a godly woman who loved her Lord and family.  She loved to sing gospel music, watch old western movies and television shows, but she especially watched Jimmy Swaggart 24/7.  Kathy was very musically inclined, she could play the piano, bass, harmonica, and the drums.  In her earlier years, she was a member of the Southern Drifters, who opened at The Grand Ole Opry for Dolly Parton.  Besides her love for music, Kathy was also a great cook. She was known for her pineapple upside down cake and banana pudding.

Kathy was predeceased by her husband, Clyde Samuel Ross, Sr., as well as her sister Ann.  Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Eric Rodgers and Edward “Eddie” Rodgers; her stepsons, Clyde Samuel Ross, Jr., Steven Ross, and Gregory Ross; her stepdaughter, Angie Ross; her grandsons, Justin Lee Deese, and Richard Caleb Rodgers; her granddaughter, Hailey McKenzie Rodgers; her great granddaughter, Gracelynn Savannah Deese and her great grandson, Landyn Grey Deese.
