Kay Robinette Barlow

Obituary: Salisbury, NC- Kay Robinette Barlow, age 61, after battling a long, lengthy illness went to be with her Lord on Monday, May 4, 2009 at her home. She had been in declining health for the past 20 years. She was born July 6, 1947 in Alexander County, NC, the daughter of the late Fred Robinette and Ellene Burke Barnes. She was a 1965 graduate of South Rowan High School and Salisbury Business College. She was employed with Lingle Electric, Salisbury, NC prior to her disabling illness. She was a member of Center Grove Lutheran Church, Kannapolis, NC. She loved her family more than life itself. The funeral service will be 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at Center Grove Lutheran Church, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Maurice Staley. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. Wednesday at the church prior to the service. Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Jerry E. Barlow; two daughters, Tracy Goodman & husband, Jr. and Kristen Moore; one son, Brad Wise & wife, Sherry; two step-daughters, Leslie B. McSheehan & husband, Keith and Julie B. Rushing & husband, Jackie; one step-son, Todd E. Barlow & wife, Donna; eleven grandchildren, Nathan, Katelynn, Jessi, Whitney, Cinnamon, Hannah, Wesley, Bradon, Kylie, Kenny, and Jordan; one great-grandchild, Summer.
