Obituary: Kay Frances Moss Robinette, 80, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at her residence following a period of declining health. She was born July 31, 1935 in Cabarrus County, NC a daughter of the late Jessie and Ida Mae Safrit Moss. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Stillman Leon Robinette who died March 6, 2009, two brothers, Harold and Bunny Moss and one sister, Hazel Bogan. Mrs. Robinette was an active member of Centerview Baptist Church where she had served on numerous committees. She was employed as a substitute teacher and later retired from the Cabarrus County Social Services office with 25 years of service. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, beach trips, visiting her grandchildren and attending church. Survivors include one son, Stephen Robinette (Christy Treadaway) of Kannapolis, and one daughter Lisa Langdale (Gary) of Kannapolis, three grandchildren, Hunter, Emma and Elijah Robinette and one sister, Ann (Gene) Holbrooks of Kannapolis. Funeral services will be 2:30 P.M. Tuesday, September 29th, 2015 at Centerview Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Willie Rash and Rev. Ralph Robinette. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00-2:30 prior to the service. At other times they will be at their respective residences.
