Kay Frances Wilhelm, 73, of Kannapolis, passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Monday, February 7, 2022, while surrounded by her loving family. Born May 27, 1948 in Cabarrus, she was the daughter of the late William Lorenzo and Grace Fullem Thompson.
A woman of great faith, Kay loved the Lord with all of her heart and loved going to church. She had a contagious laugh that will be sadly missed. In her younger days, Kay enjoyed going to yard sales.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Steve Wilhelm; a daughter, Tonya Bryant of Kannapolis; three grandchildren, Gerald Bryant, Amy Shinn, and Chris Bryant; six great grandchildren, Randon McIntyre, Kyler Ritchie, Shyann Shinn, Savannah, Roman Bryant and Christopher Ryan Bryant, Jr.; and a brother, Jerry Thompson.
Funeral services to honor Kay's life will be held 3:00 pm Thursday, February 10, 2022 at God's Church of Faith, 811 Elm Street, Kannapolis. Rev. Jeff Upright will officiate. Burial will immediately follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:50 Thursday, prior to the service at the church.
