Keith Vincent Silk

Keith Vincent Silk, 70, of Landis, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 8, 2023.

Keith was born on March 21, 1953 in Miami, FL to the late John Elmer Silk and Pearl Wargo Silk. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Kenneth Silk; sister, Audrey Fulcher and husband, Bob Fulcher.

Keith spent his career working for Flowers Baking Company for over 30 years. In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf and going bowling. He especially loved going camping and fishing with his grandchildren. He enjoyed watching all kinds of sports. He was especially a fan of the Miami Hurricanes and Miami Dolphins. He enjoyed being an umpire for Little League Baseball. He was a kind and generous man who made sure everyone was taken care of before himself. He was always the last to go eat.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 47 years, Carol Silk; daughter, Melissa (Bernal) Garcia; two sons, Matthew (Laurel) Silk and Kenneth (fiancé, Alexis) Silk; eight grandchildren, Bernie Garcia, Lexie Garcia, Chase Silk, Cali Silk, Thalia Silk, Cameron Silk, Gabby Garcia, and Kenny Silk; three sisters, Jerri (Joe) Blair, Jackie (fiancé, Kurt) Hinson, and Judy (Bob) Hyman; and a sister-in-law, Linda Silk, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 13, 2023 at Whitley’s Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the Chapel of Whitley’s Funeral Home at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Bill Baldwin officiating.
