Obituary: Kelly Denise Martin, 47, of Kannapolis died at CMC-NorthEast, Concord on April 8, 2015. Kelly was born on January 6, 1968 in Cabarrus Co., NC the daughter of Janice Thompson Thomas of Kannapolis and the late Larry Wayne Caulder. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Randall Martin, Sr. who died in 2012. The word that most described Kelly's life was grace! She was truly a disciple of Christ and wanted nothing more in life than to serve Him, share that love with others and to raise her son! And another special note about Kelly was her love of animals, especially dogs! She, in one way or another rescued 3 dogs over the last years of her life. And they were truly her four-footed babies! The funeral for Mrs. Martin will take place at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Jackson Park United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Neal Brower. Burial will take place at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00-3:30 before the service. Survivors include her son, Joseph Randall Martin, Jr. of Kannapolis, her mother, Janice Thompson Thomas of Kannapolis, her sister, Cheryl Poos and husband, Larry, her much loved niece and scrabble partner, Kimberly James Parham and husband, Daniel and her adored great niece, Bella Parham and her God chosen Best Friend and sister through love, Marie Ramseur and various aunts, uncles and cousins.
