Kenneth Avery Canup

Kenneth Avery Canup, 82, of Kannapolis, went into his eternal rest on Tuesday, April 21, 2020.

He was born on September 3, 1937 in Cabarrus Co., to the late Carl Avery Canup and Lunell Priscella Hord Canup. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elda Goudy Canup and his brother, Daniel Canup.

Kenneth retired from General Motors after 45 years of honorable service.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Ronald (Cheryl) Canup of York, PA; Bryan Canup of Bossier City, LA; daughters, Vicky (Ronald) Stec of Orlando, FL; Dana (Wayne) Shrader of Westminster, MD, Karla (Steven) Baldwin of Baltimore, MD, and Kendra (John) Nance of Griffin, GA; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and his sister, Peggy Blake.

A private service will be held at the Plaza Mausoleum of Carolina Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kerr Memorial Baptist Church, 25 NC Hwy 49 S Concord, NC 28025.
