Kenneth Dean Evans

Obituary: Kenneth Dean Evans, 56, of Concord died Saturday, November 20, 2010 at his residence following a brief illness. Kenneth was born June 28, 1954 in Cabarrus County, a son of Johnsie Deal Evans of Concord and the late Benjamin Haskell Evans. He was employed as a mechanic at Carolina Car Care and enjoyed NASCAR, motorcycles, model cars, and riding go-carts. Kenneth had attended Odell Baptist Church. Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon on Monday November 22, 2010 at Whitley's Funeral Home main chapel with Rev. Rodney Taylor officiating. Internment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 12:00 noon one hour prior to services at the funeral home. In addition to his mother, he is survived by : a son, Brian N. Evans of Concord; a daughter Tabatha Evans Whitley and husband Andy of Davidson; step-son Aaron Rachels; grandchildren, Heather Evans, Kayla and Ashton Whitley; a brother, David Evans and wife Joyce of Concord, and girlfriend Aunna R. Allen of Concord. Mr. Evans family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Hospice of Cabarrus County.
