Kenneth G Hargett

Kenneth G. Hargett, 85, of Concord, passed away Thursday afternoon, March 24, 2022, at Atrium Health Cabarrus, following a brief illness.

Born February 15, 1937, in Concord, he was the son of the late Clyde Fredrick and Edna Fay Harper Hargett.

Kenneth had honorably served his country with the US Air Force and had retired as a sales manager from Mutual Distributing. He was a member of McGill Baptist Church, and enjoyed fishing, NASCAR and spending time with his much-loved grandchildren and great grandchildren.  A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, Mr. Hargett will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.

Family members left with cherished memories include his beloved wife of 60 years, Faye Vinson Hargett; his children, Ched Hargett (Kelly) and Allyson “Ally” Hargett Ayers (Barry); his grandchildren, Hack Hargett, and Jake and Jerod Faggart (Jenna); great grandchildren, Cash, Creed and Boone Faggart.

The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 pm Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at McGill Baptist Church.  Memorial services to remember and celebrate the life of Mr. Hargett will begin at 4:00 pm in the church, conducted by Dr. Steve Ayers, pastor. Burial will immediately follow the services at Carolina Memorial Park.
