Kenneth Mark Harrelson

Kenneth Mark Harrelson, 58, of China Grove passed away Wednesday August 12, 2020  at his home after a lengthy illness. Born August 7, 1962 he was the son of the late Paul Kenneth Harrelson and Kathleen Gilreath Finney.

Ken enjoyed drag racing, NASCAR, the beach and loved Alabama Crimson Tide football. When he was working, Ken spent his time as a truck driver, driving for Dixie Trucking and Stericycle.

Aside from his mother, Ken is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia French Harrelson; a son, Kenny M. Harrelson, Jr and wife Courtney of China Grove; step-daughter, Sahvanna Crews of Walkertown; grandson, Krimson Harrelson; step-grandchildren Maylie Crews and Spencer Bruce; sister, Sonya Graham and husband Wyatt of Mt. Ulla; and brother, Joe Finney and wife Alaina of Granite Quarry.

A funeral service to honor Ken’s life will be held 11:00 AM Monday August 17, 2020 at Whitley’s Funeral Chapel, 1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd., Kannapolis. Pastor Zach Sizemore will officiate.  Interment will follow in Memorial Park Salisbury. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
