Kenneth Ray Spry

Obituary: Kenneth Ray Spry, 76, formerly of Landis, passed away on Sunday May 6, 2012 at the Laurels of Salisbury, following a period of declining health. Mr. Spry was born on November 8, 1935 in Cabarrus County, a son of the late Paul Daniel and Elsie Mae Wicox Spry. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Spry Mr. Spry was formerly employed as a hyster driver at Cannon Mills and served in the US Navy. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Whitley' s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the services at the funeral home. Mr. Spry is survived by his brother, Larry W. Spry and sister-in-law Brenda of Landis.
