Kenneth Lloyd Kenny Stone

Obituary: Rockwell - Kenneth Lloyd Stone "Kenny", 58, of Old Beatty Ford Road, Rockwell, died at Duke University Medical Center in Durham on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 after a brave and courageous battle with a lung transplant operation. Kenny was born in Charleston, W.V. on May 6, 1950, the son of the late Howard Stone and the late Mary Nichols Stone. In recent years, Mr. Stone was employed as a furniture line supervisor with Lexington Furniture Co. and previously worked for N.A.P.A in Craigville, W.V. with 17+ years service. He attended Genesis Baptist Church where he loved his Sunday School Class. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved motorcycles, fishing and spending time with his precious granddaughter. Kenny is survived by his wife, Donna Hammons Stone of the home and his very much loved step-son, Matthew Baber and his wife, Tia of Mt. Lookout, W.V. along with his precious granddaughter Isabella. He is also survived by three brothers; Ralph and (Louise) Stone of Charleston, W.V., Dale and (Kathy) Stone of Canvas, W.V. and Kevin Stone of Summerville, W.V. Also, by two sisters; Marsha and (Mike) Brown of Keslers Cross Lanes, W.V. and Lana and (John) Evans of Mt. Nebo, W.V. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and multitudes of friends. He will also be missed by his bestest canine friend and protecter, "Gracie". A funeral service will be held at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel on Friday, March 27, 2009 at 8 p.m. conducted by Rev. Gene Edwards with the family receiving friends from 5:30 - 7:30 before the service. Burial will take place at a later date at Calvin Memorial Garden in Calvin, W.V.
