Kim Wadsworth Ridenhour

Obituary: Greensboro, NC- Kim Wadsworth Ridenhour, age 56, died unexpectedly on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at his home. He was born January 20, 1954 in Cabarrus County, NC, the son of Margaret T. Ridenhour and the late John W. Ridenhour. He was a 1972 graduate of A.L. Brown High School, Kannapolis, NC and 1976 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received a degree in accounting. Kim was chief executive officer and president of Ridenhour & Company, Inc., Greensboro, NC, the company he operated for over 24 years. Kim was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing for many years including being active with Ducks Unlimited. He was previously active in the "Make-A-Wish" Foundation in the Greensboro area. A graveside service to celebrate his life will be 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Dr. Warren Casidy and Rev. Jimmy Norrad. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:30 P.M. Wednesday at Whitley's Funeral Home, 1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd., Kannapolis, NC prior to the service. Survivors include two sisters, Sandra L. Poole of Kannapolis, NC and Suma L. Brooks & husband, Clayton of Laurinburg, NC; three brothers, Terry W. Ridenhour & wife, Judy of Lexington, SC, Don W. Ridenhour & wife, Kathy of High Point, NC, and Larry W. Ridenhour of Kannapolis, NC; and two nieces and three nephews. Memorials may be made to Nazareth Childrens Home, P.O.
