Kimberly (Scott) Dupuis

Kimberly Scott DuPuis, 59, of Kannapolis, peacefully passed away Saturday evening, July 9, 2022, at Atrium Health Cabarrus.

Born August 21, 1962, in Ft. Lauderdale, she was a daughter of the late Harry Tull and Sarah “Louise” Collins Scott. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Tull Scott.

Kimberly married the love of her life, Ricky DuPuis, on July 28, 1979. She had been a loyal and much-loved employee of Walgreens the past 15 years and she loved being a member of Jackson Park Baptist Church.  Affectionately known as “Mama” to many, Kimberly was an extraordinary caregiver and would always put others needs before her own, even during her illness. She deeply loved all of her family and enjoyed time spent with them.  She also enjoyed spending time at the beach and in the mountains. A loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother, Mrs. DuPuis will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.

Family members left with cherished memories include her husband of 43 years, Ricky DuPuis; her children, Kara DuPuis, Ricky Dupuis, Nicole Mills and Dylan DuPuis; sisters, Denise Shelton, Karen Scott and Sherry Joyner; her much loved grandchildren, Alex, Alli, Stephanie, Ricky, Julia, Ava, Collin, Lilli, Bjorn, Josiah and Layla; her great granddaughter, Lydia; and nieces, nephews and extended family members.

The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:30 pm Sunday, July 24th at Jackson Park Baptist Church.  A celebration of life memorial service will begin at 4:30 pm in the church, conducted by J.R. Beaver, Pastor.
