Kimberly Dawn Waldroup, 51, of Kannapolis died unexpectedly on September 30, 2021 at her home.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Kimberly was born June 30, 1970 in Commerce, GA a daughter of the late James N. and Iris Ann Wingler Waldroup. In addition to her parents, Kimberly was preceded in death by her sister, Toni Millet.
She was a lifelong area resident and graduated from A.L. Brown High School, Class of '88. She then received her LPN from RCCC and worked for various local nursing homes. Kimberly was a wonderful mother, sister and friend. She lived life to the fullest and always had a smile on her face. She loved spending time and going on vacations to the mountains and the beach with her daughter Freedom, who was the light of her life and she loved her dog Waffles. She will be dearly missed.
Kimberly is survived by her daughter, Freedom Waldroup, sister, Robin Cherry of Salisbury and her brother, Jimmy Waldroup (Dawn) of Kannapolis along with numerous nieces and nephews.
