Obituary: Kurt "Hot Rod" Seay, 40, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Novant Health Salisbury. He was born in Athens Georgia on March 29, 1979 to Roy Lanier Seay and Debora Marie Chandler Seay. Kurt worked for Dale Earnhardt Incorporated as a machinist; he was very talented and enjoyed making and designing various things, and loved his job and being with his co- workers. He loved helping people and he never met a stranger. Kurt had a passion for old cars, trucks, tractors and anything with wheels and an engine. He loved animals, RC Racing, Rock & Roll music, cooking and working in his garden. He loved kids and Kurt was a kid at heart but most of all he loves his wife and kids. Kurt was a family man and always working in his garage on different projects and letting all the kids help him. In addition to his parents, Kurt is survived by his wife, Tonya, three children Hailey, Tyler and Tripp of Salisbury, grandparents, Bobby and Mirian of Hull Georgia, two sisters Amanda Campbell (Danny) of Hull Georgia, In-laws Welton and Pamela Reynolds of Baker West Virginia, brother in-law Adam Martin (Bridgette) of Lula Georgia, John Shuemaker of Moorefield West Virginia. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Charity Baptist Church on Friday June 14, 2019 at 5:00 P.M. Memorials may be made to Levine's Children Hospital, 1000 Blythe Blvd. Charlotte N.C. 28203.
