Obituary: Larry Eddis Britton, 69, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, November 12, 2015 at CHS-Northeast Medical Center. Born March 24, 1946 in Batesville, Arkansas, he was a son of the late Royal and Martha Britton. Larry had retired from Carolina Stalite, where he worked in maintenance. Larry loved his dog Ginger, enjoyed NASCAR and was an avid football fan of Ohio State and the Philadelphia Eagles. A loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents, preceding him in death were his sister Sandra Kerns, a brother Terry Britton, granddaughter Mikayla Blanton and his brother-in-law Tony Roberts. Family members left to cherish his memory include his wife Brenda Britton; his daughters Denise Tiller and husband, Samuel of Lexington, NC, Kelley Britton of Homosassa, FL and Shauna Christiansen and husband, Richard of Dunnellon, FL; his son Rodney Britton and wife Patricia of Spring Hill, FL; his step-son Michael White: sister Vickie Roberts, Lancaster, OH; 11 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 3:00-5:00 pm at Whitley's Funeral Home. Funeral services to remember and celebrate Larry's life will begin at 5:00 pm Saturday in the funeral home chapel.
