Larry Kenneth Carey, 74, of the Enochville community, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 17, 2020 at his residence after a period of declining health.
Larry was born on February 5, 1946 in Cabarrus County to the late William M. Carey and Lettie Dove Carey. In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his brother Michael Carey.
Larry was a lifelong area resident and veteran of the Vietnam War while bravely serving in the U.S Army. He was a member at St. Enoch Lutheran Church. Larry spent the earlier years of his career as a fabric printer in the Cannon Mills Company. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 47 years, Patricia Brumley Carey; daughter, Courtney Lowder; son, Justin Carey (Shaylene) all of Enochville; grandchildren, Katylin Lowder, Carston, Kynlee, and Kelton Carey, along with many other loving relatives.
Services will be held Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Enoch Lutheran Church with Rev. Dale Cline officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. His family will be receiving friends at the church one hour prior to service from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.
