Larry S. Clay

Obituary: Larry S. Clay 77, of Midland, N.C. passed away after an extended illness. He was born January 23, 1942 in Cabarrus County to the late Nathan Monroe Clay and Elizabeth Nance Clay. Larry worked as a marine carpenter repairing boats and loved to fish, hunt and work in his garden. He truly enjoyed gospel music. Most of all he enjoyed being with family and friends. Larry is survived by his son Danny Clay and wife Lisa of Midland, daughter Sherry Lynn Tankson of Leesburg, Florida, his brother Bobby Wayne Clay of Concord, eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Service will be 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Harrington officiating.
