Obituary: Larry Bernard Harrison, 71, of Kannapolis passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, surrounded by his loving family, at Hospice of Cabarrus County after a short illness. Mr. Harrison was born on December 16, 1945 in Cabarrus County to Pearl Smith Harrison of Kannapolis and the late Elvin Bernard Harrison. Larry retired from Neil Medical Group in 2007 on disability. He was employed with Cannon Mills/Pillowtex for 39 years prior to that. In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife of 51 years, Patsy Moose Harrison, son, Jeff Harrison (Aprille), daughter, Lori Hutchins Roberts (J.R.), 4 grandchildren, Cody and Rebecca Harrison, Bailey and Brandon Hutchins all of Kannapolis, a sister, Carolyn Wallace of Charlotte and family and friends. The family will receive friends at New Hope Lutheran Church Family Life Center, 1615 Brantley Rd. Kannapolis from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Thursday, October 26, 2017. There will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Levine Cancer Center 100 Medical Park Drive, Suite 100 Concord, NC 28025 or Hospice of Cabarrus County 5003 Hospice Lane Kannapolis, NC 28081. Thank you to Dr. Daniel Brickman, Dr. Thomas Steffans, Dr. John Heinzerling, Dr. David Fisher and their staff for the excellent care given to Larry. What a rare and precious gift to know someone who speaks so seldom yet says so much. Rest in peace and comfort our dear friend until the next time.
