Larry Purcell Keever

Larry Purcell Keever, 73, of China Grove, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023 after a period of declining health.

Larry was born on April 12, 1949 in Cabarrus County to the late William Purcell Keever and Beatrice Edwards Keever. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his lifelong friend, Sam Loudermilk, and two beloved dogs, Molly and Dylan.

Larry worked in the finishing room at Cannon Mills for over 40 years. He went on to become a CNA at Crisis Recovery Center until his retirement. He was a simple man who cherished spending time with his family and his beloved pets. He had a special place in his heart for animals and was an animal advocate.  He also enjoyed playing the piano and listening to music.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sister, Linda Keever; niece, Holly Devlin and husband Peter; great-nephew, Josh Devlin, and great-niece, Casey Dumas.

The family is planning a private memorial gathering at a later date.
